Tahaxan screenshots

I didn;t get anything worthwhile out of it yet but it's close... Mario Kart has some unsupported compression in it...

When I saw this, I immediately thought of Revned and his Mario Kart maps :)

Wow, that looks very promising, if that Jump Super Stars isn't a very specific game and the only one where it works that great to view a map of.

I will give it a try, too :)

I'm obviously missing something, I don't get it.  I can't even get the same images to load up as they show in the screenshots.  I'm stupid.  That and too lazy to read the tutorials...  :P

The basic process is double-click map, then tiles, then palette. Deciding which ones go together is up to you, but the filenames often help. The icons are supposed to help you figure out what's what but it is rather confusing.

I was looking to get the maps out of Mario Kart DS, but as I said they seem to be in a custom archive type. You can adjust the XML settings and it can list all of the files inside the archive - including what looks like clearly marked 2D maps - but it crashes when it tries to decompress/extract them.

A bit offtopic, but is there any Winamp plugin or maybe another program that can play DS sound files?
