Game: Easter Mushrooms?
« on: May 01, 2006, 01:31:14 pm »
The mushroom can be delicious and deadly.  In the world of Nintendo, though, it is more than just a food.  See how many mushrooms you can dig up.

Name the game, where to find the mushroom, and what the purpose of it is.  Be nice and take turns.  Only post one mushroom at a time (even if there is more than one type in a game), and wait for someone else to post one before posting another.  There's plenty to go around.

I'll start.

1. In Super Mario Brothers (NES), the mushroom item can be found in ? blocks, and it causes Mario to become big.

2. Super Smash Brothers. Melee, mushroom appears, pick it up and it heals your percentage down a little.

3. In Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons (GBA), the mushroom is a rock-like object that blocks your path.  It can only be picked up in Autumn.

4. In The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (GB), you find a Mushroom in the Mysterious Woods that you take to the witch. She mixes it up and you get Magic Powder.

There was a Nintendo game that used mushrooms as trampolines. To get to higher places. I forget what it was >_<

In Super Mario Brothers (NES), level 4-3 featured large mushrooms that Mario (or Luigi) walked on.

In Pokemon, you can find mushrooms if you catch a Paras or a Parasect. They are only good for selling, though

That reminds me of Animal Crossing for the GC in the spring you can pick mushrooms between 6 and 7 in the morning. Then they can be eaten or given away or sold.

In Dragon Warrior IV, the Demon Toadstool is an enemy you sometimes face which is capable of poisoning your adventurers.
