"B, D-Pad, Start, Select, A" is a NES-themed parody of "We Didn't Start The Fire" by Billy Joel. The concept, lyrics, and editing are all by me! If you're familiar with Billy Joel's original song of historical references, you will appreciate the NES games' titles I used to substitute them! Thanks to my brother for helping out, and to DJ Space for the 8-bit music track!
And, since this is VGMaps.com, I really need to be thanking the mappers whose NES game maps were used in the backgrounds of many of the featured games. These include maps from (in alphabetical order): Chiasm, Crystal Jacobs, Dan_, FlyingArmor, G.E.R., Gennadiy_Master, Ghaleon, grl, The Immortal Caleb Child, KingKuros, link_7777, Loquo, mechaskrom, Revned, Rick Bruns, ROM Detectives, Vorpal86, Will Mallia and zagato blackfist. So, thank you for the maps!
Well, I listened and enjoyed your well-made song, especially the Miracle Piano blending in greatly. You and your brother nailed the singing good. Really brought others' memories of playing NES and its games back.
Good props to DJSpaceRetrotunes for providing the video's music and its authenticity. You, your brother, and your pals have my thanks for making it! Question, Was Furnace used to make the music, or whatever other tracker used?
The small cosmetic niches I do need to point out, though, having a keen ear for detail; there's no fitting sound effects, both iconic and custom, fitting to what went on through specific points seen in the video, as well as the lack of fitting fire ambience SFX in the accompanying background in said points. Wonder if it can be updated sometime later?
Overall, it's a really good music video, and your experience from it is going to get better along the way. Hope we get to hear more soon.
Sorry your brother was ill near the end of the video's production, by the way.
