The only challenge here would be appropriately getting the backgrounds somehow.  You'd need a tool to capture PS1 layers or some really creative hacking.  I'd take a shot at it if I wasn't so swamped.

I once began mapping Rayman but never got far, mostly because I had trouble extracting the background in the first boss battle against Mosquito (I think that's its name) - and after some weeks I hadn't have enough time anymore to go on mapping it.

I don't mind if someone else tries to map it, although I might get back to mapping the game in the future.

I would love to see this awesome platformer mapped out.

And I don't care either about the backgrounds being included or not, even though they were gorgoeus.
