New-Icon for recently submitted Maps
« on: December 29, 2010, 01:21:39 pm »
i think it would be good if a "new"-Icon could be used for Maps that is submitted just recently.

For example: Grizzly submitted a Map for Secret of Evermore, but looking at the List you wouldnt know which Map are new and which was already there before.

What do you think?

And maybe cut up those huge game/map lists into smaller pieces.  Some of them are getting really big.

Considering everything is manually done, the NEW icons would not only have to be added but later removed by hand every time. A more feasible "solution" could be to show the number of added maps for the update after each game title. It won't say which ones are new, but you'd know how many to look for.

A simple timestamp column would work. Leave all current maps' timestamps blank and just add them for all new maps. This wouldn't require much effort and it would be useful information to store in anticipation of a future dynamic website.

i like that and if Jon dont want to add more column he can use these of Filetype-Column (PNG, JPG and so you know) instead. If you hover the mouse over the links you know which filetype the pics are so this column isnt really useful...
