RE: Happy Holiday Season!!!
« on: December 22, 2006, 09:59:36 pm »
Well, I'm leaving tomorrow for the holidays and I won't be back until at least January 3rd.

Consequently, I'm wishing everyone here a happy holiday season, whatever it is that you are celebrating this time of year. So, leaving aside all this "politically correct" crap (I was once flamed for wishing an atheist a 'Merry Christmas'), please accept my wishes in the spirit they were intended, and most important of all, have fun and enjoy yourself :) !

And the same to you! We're having an early Christmas tomorrow since we're driving to see relatives on the 24th. Rather than drag the present with us, we'll just open them early.

I finished Christmas shopping about a week ago. As a result, my current net worth is $6 (USD), but that doesn't really matter considering the fact I'm 15.

And a Merry Christmas to y'all.

I forgot Toy Day on the poll.  Sorry if I offended any Animal Crossers.

I got a pretty good haul. Some of the stuff I got:

Wii System

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz

Extra Wii Remote

Extra Nunchuck

Assorted DVDs:

Batman ('89)

Batman Returns

Dial M for Murder

Ed Wood

Hairspray

Harvey

Kind Hearts and Coronets

Throne of Blood

Touch of Evil

Notable Other Stuff:

Castlevania Double Pack (GBA)

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: Justice For All (DS preorder)

Zero (book)

I got some other stuff, but I don't remember right off hand and I'm out of town so I can't check. My Wii was definitely my biggest gift. It's really cool. My sister has been spending hours making Miis ;)

I have 2 Wii games, but no Wii to play them on. :( At least I now have the first 6 Star Trek movies.

Here's a list of what I received for all you stalkers out there:

Darth Tater Keychain

Box of PayDay candy bars

A geeky tie

A couple shirts

8 Pencils to go with 2 books of daily and Sunday New York Times crosswords

The Ultimate Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (all 5 books)

A Series of Unfortunate Events: THE END

Star Trek: The Motion Picture

Star Trek V: The Final Frontier

Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country

Pirates of the Caribbean 2: Dead Man's Chest

Super Monkey Ball Wii

Trauma Center Wii

Atari Flashback

A glass chess set

Gave:

Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan

Star Trek III: The Search for Spock

Star Trek IV: The One With the Whales

The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen

A toaster-oven sized pizza stone

An electric razor

No Wii because they're sold out, or because you're planning on buying one for yourself? I had a glass chess set, but the darn felt bottoms came off when the glue melted in my closet. I'm really bad at chess anyway.

Oh, I guess I didn't mention that I gave my sister Super Princess Peach for Christmas. She and her friend love it. No other game requires you run around crying.

I played Trauma Center all day today and finished it in pretty much one go.  Of course, that's on the Easy difficulty level.  It's definitely an interesting game, but I don't think I have the patience to get XS ranks on the highest difficulty when I have other things I mean to do with my Christmas break.  >_>

I gave more stuff out than I received this year, but that's okay, because I blew a ton of money on a finishing school/Christmas present.  Of course I took the 6 month installment plan, so it won't take a big bite out of me all at once.
